Chicken Death Number 2
Our second chicken has died to a fox. Me and my sister Kayla were walking to check on the chickens when I saw a head with pointy ears and a long snout. It's head was silhouetted against the chickens lighted doorway. I ran back to the house and told mom and dad. Me and dad went out to check on the chickens again and look around. What we found was heartbreaking. A chicken had gotten all the feathers on his head totally ripped off and it's neck broken. Dad thought it was completely dead until it jumped off the board it was on and landed in the mud. This scared me and Dad to death. It was still partly alive, so Dad went to the garage and got a hatchet. I had to go and hold the light so that he could see what he was hitting. On the first hit he hit it but didn't kill it. He Hit it this time and killed him. We double bagged him in a trash bag and threw a him in the trash can. We were all very sad and I couldn't sleep that night for a while. We have eight more chickens and only one lays eggs. Please pray for our chickens.

Fall Is Over
Fall is definitely over it's supposed to snow a little tomorrow and all the leaves are gone. It's scary to think that Christmas is so close to being here. It's in 38 days to be exact. The trees in our yard are completely bare of leaves. The first day of winter is like December 20th or something like that. The high temperatures of this week are in the low forties and high thirties. It's about forty degrees at the moment. What is the weather like where you are? Melissa, Courtney, Anyone else.

Nature
This is the season for hikes and sight seeing. A couple of weeks ago was peak leaf season and the huge sight seeing buses rolled up and down our street. But today we went to a friends house where a nature guide/teacher taught about lots of nature and animals. He was awesome he taught us about the different animal skulls. He brought owl pellets and bones of lots of different animal books. After the inside class he took us outside to look for signs of a kill sight. It was a lot of fun and I learned a lot.
Owl pellets-Owl regurgitation in pellet form.
Kill sight- Where an animal has killed and eaten something.

Interesting Facts About Everything
Did you know that shopping carts and vacuums carry a lot more germs than a public toilet?! Recent studies show that these items have Ecol i on the ones that they have tested and many other harmful bacteria on them. Some stores are taking action and sending their carts through cleaning machines every time someone uses one. There are also vacuums that have smaller bristles because the larger ones carry more bacteria and are harder to kill. Experts say not to stop using them because they pick up dirt, animal fur, food crumbs and other interesting things. This is the first of Interesting Facts About Everything.

The Crazy life of My Family
These last 2 weeks have been crazy! First Mom was preparing for my Dad's 40th birthday party It was 80's themed and almost everyone dressed up in 80's clothes ( I think the Salvation Army made a fortune off of us). Then my mom went to Texas and the we ( the kids ) went to different friends' houses' and did our school. This isn't very easy when your friends want to talk and play. Now we're trying to calm down and get back into our usual schedule. In a few weeks though it will be crazy again with Thanksgiving and Christmas. So wish us luck in this exciting roller coaster of life.

Football Blues
So this year my football team was well........ we beat teams we shouldn't of and we lost to teams we could of beat. We finished 4-4. I love football. I love everything about it, the contact, the teamwork, and the excitement of playing it. It's like my own personal war. Anyway I was pretty sad as this year was my last year of playing in this league. This year since I was the older kid I got in a lot more and made some good plays and even scored a touchdown Next year I'll play for the high school and they are awful, they had a 18 game losing streak in two years. In the north almost nobody cares about football. Well that's all for now.
Welcome
So the reason I'm starting this blog is because I couldn't get on my old one. So here we go.
